Data center services in Canada, built and run by CCIEs.

We design, build, and run data center services across Canada. Senior engineers do the hands-on work, not slideware.

// THE WORK

Data center services: three pillars, one operator.

One Canadian team owns the design, the migration, and the day-to-day run.

  1. 1

    Design that survives the build

    We architect the SDDC on VMware Cloud Foundation, spine-leaf fabric, and NSX segmentation, sized to real capacity.

  2. 2

    Migrations that don't page you at 2am

    Colocation moves, consolidation, and clean decommissioning, run as staged cutovers with a rollback at every gate.

    rollbacks: every cutover reversible

  3. 3

    Run it, don't just hand it over

    Managed data center operations: vSphere and vSAN health, capacity planning, and cost kept honest.

// THE PROOF

Built to last. Evidence-first.

A good outcome is a data center you forget about: it runs, it scales, and nobody gets paged.

// IN PRODUCTION

Infrastructure your team stops worrying about.

We design for the day it breaks, not the day it ships. Every fabric gets a rollback path, a capacity model, and a runbook before we cut over. If we can't operate it at 2am, we don't call it done.

// THE DEEP DIVE

Data center services in Canada, made real.

I run these engagements, so here's the plain version of how data center services actually land for a Canadian client.

It starts at the design.

Good starts at the design. The fabric, usually VMware Cloud Foundation with vSphere, vSAN, and NSX, has to match your real workload, not a vendor template. Data center design is the part people skip, then pay for later. The moving parts are compute, storage, the network fabric, segmentation, and the virtualization services that tie them together. Get the sizing and the failure domains right up front, and everything downstream gets cheaper.

How we work.

How we work: senior engineers do the build, and you talk to them directly, not through an account layer. Your risk isn't the hardware, it's the cutover and the day-two run, where projects quietly fail. Downtime isn't abstract, over half of serious outages now cost more than $100K (Source: Uptime Institute, 2025). So we stage every migration with a rollback at each gate, and we write the runbook before we touch production.

// THE METHOD

How a data center project actually runs in Canada.

Here's how we run data center services, and why it's in this order. We assess before we design, because a fabric sized to guesswork is a fabric you rebuild. We design before we buy, because the bill of materials falls out of the architecture, not the other way round. Then we build, migrate, and run, with a Canadian team and Canadian data residency available at every step. Nothing gets skipped to hit a date.

  1. Step 01

    Assess and scope

    We map what you've actually got: workloads, dependencies, storage IOPS, the network fabric, and the stuff nobody documented. You get a current-state picture and a gap list, not a sales deck. This is where data center consulting services earn their keep, before a dollar goes to hardware.

  2. Step 02

    Design and validate

    We architect the SDDC, size the failure domains, and validate the design against your capacity and growth. Every design gets CCIE-level review. You approve the architecture and the bill of materials before anything ships.

  3. Step 03

    Build and migrate

    We build the fabric, then move workloads as staged cutovers, each with a rollback. Colocation moves and hosting cutovers happen in windows you pick, with the runbook rehearsed first.

  4. Step 04

    Run, optimise, or hand over

    Once it's live, you choose: we run it as a managed data center service, we optimise it on a schedule, or we hand it over with full documentation and train your team to own it. Decommissioning of the old kit is clean and audited.

// QUESTIONS

Data center services questions, answered straight.

Straight answers from the engineer who runs the work, not a marketing team. If your question isn't here, book a call and ask it directly.

Data center services cover the full life of your core infrastructure: design, build, migration, virtualization, hosting, colocation, ongoing operations, and decommissioning. In practice, it means one team owns your compute, storage, and network fabric end to end, from the architecture on paper to the 2am page. We do all of it in-house with senior engineers, so you're not stitching five vendors together.

A typical mid-market migration runs 8 to 16 weeks from assessment to final cutover. Cost tracks the size of the estate and how much has to move without downtime. We scope fixed stages, so you're not signing a blank cheque. You'll get a bill of materials and a schedule before any work starts, and we don't pad the timeline to hit a number.

Yes. Canadian data residency is available on every data center services engagement, whether we build on-prem, in a Canadian colocation facility, or in a Canadian cloud region. If you operate under PIPEDA or sector rules, we design the environment so your data stays in-country and the controls are documented for audit. Data residency is a design decision, so we settle it before the build, not after.

Both. Alongside new builds we run data center colocation services, workload consolidation, and full decommissioning of legacy kit, cleanly and audited. Plenty of our work is helping a client exit an aging room: consolidate onto a smaller VMware footprint, move to colocation or hosting, then retire the old hardware with proper data wiping and chain-of-custody records.

A working environment plus the documentation to run it: as-built diagrams, the capacity model, runbooks, and a rollback record from every cutover. If you want us to keep running it, it moves to managed operations. If you want your team to own it, we hand over and train them. Either way, you're not left with a black box only we understand.
