Terms of use

Acceptance

These terms govern your use of smenode.com, operated by SMEnode from Toronto, Ontario. By using the site, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

What this site is

This is the marketing site for SMEnode, a Canadian IT and AI consulting practice. It describes our services and lets you get in touch. It isn't a place to buy a product or open an account, and using it doesn't create a consulting engagement between us. An engagement starts only when we both sign a statement of work.

Content is not professional advice

The information on this site is general and provided for context. It isn't engineering, security, legal, or compliance advice for your specific situation, and you shouldn't act on it without talking to us or a qualified professional. We work to keep the content accurate and current, but we don't promise it's complete or error-free.

Acceptable use

When you use the site, you agree not to:

  • Use it for anything unlawful or in breach of these terms
  • Try to break, overload, or gain unauthorised access to the site or its systems
  • Scrape, copy, or republish the content at scale without our permission
  • Submit false information or use the contact form to send spam or malicious content

Intellectual property

The SMEnode name, logo, brand, text, and design on this site belong to SMEnode and are protected by Canadian and international law. You may view and share the content for your own reference, but you can't reproduce, sell, or use it commercially without our written permission.

Disclaimer

The site is provided on an as-is and as-available basis. We don't guarantee it will always be available, uninterrupted, or free of errors, and we make no warranties beyond those that can't be excluded under Canadian law.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, SMEnode isn't liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of this site. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited under applicable Canadian law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Any dispute about the site or these terms falls under the courts of Ontario.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the site or our practice changes. The current version always lives on this page, with the date it was last updated shown at the top. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
